Janet Wagner, 61, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at RWJ Hospital. Born in Somerset, NJ, Janet resided in Bridgewater for many years.

Janet was a loving soul who found joy in life's simple pleasures. An avid reader, in her free time she enjoyed spending her days by the ocean and making cherished memories at the Jersey Shore.

She had a passion for creating beautiful desserts, a love for riding horses, and a natural connection with animals. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and appreciation for the simple things in life left a lasting impression on all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Katherine C. Wagner, her nephew, Lawrence D. Wagner, and her brother in laws, George H. Vreeland and Charles Markham.

Surviving are her loving son, Zebbelin Standish from her previous marriage to Roger Standish, father, Leonard Wagner, her brother Lawrence and wife Judi Wagner of TN; four sisters, Pat Carlin- Wilkens; Bernadette Markham; Karen Wagner of NJ; Diane Vreeland of NJ; her nieces, Jennifer, Prudence, and Alexandria, and her nephews, Christopher and Karl, her great niece and nephews, Zalia, Jacob "Jake", Erik, and her boyfriend, Mike Speno.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 10am-11:30am at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 11:30am.

Burial to follow at New Cemetery in Somerville, NJ.
