James Richelo Sr, 89, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in in Newark, NJ, James resided in Springfield for 54 years before moving to Branchburg 35 years ago. James graduated from Jonathan Dayton High School, Class of 1950. James was the owner Gage Poultry for most of his life located in Springfield, NJ. James enjoyed watching Nascar and was an avid collector of coins. One thing James enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Agnes and George Richelo, two brothers, George and Eugene and a sister, Mary Ann. Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Eleanor Richelo, a loving daughter, Donna Richelo of Branchburg, NJ; a dear son, James Richelo Jr., of Westfield, NJ; two brothers, Richard Richelo of GA; Gerard and wife Arlene Richelo of Springfield, NJ; and many cherished grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 5-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 7:30pm. Committal is private. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to American Cancer Society.
