James S. Marchese , 70, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington. Born in Lawrence, Mass., he resided in Branchburg for the past 30 years. Mr. Marchese was a Chemist, Supervisor and Safety Auditor for American Cyanamid Corporation of Bound Brook for 30 years until 1994. He then served as a Chemical Consultant for various companies until his retirement in 2001. He also tutored Chemistry at one time at Raritan Valley Community College. James was a communicant of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan and a member of the Hunterdon County Baking Guild. He was an avid reader, fisherman, world traveler who enjoyed gardening and doing crossword puzzles and loved opera music and history. James cherished spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Anne Annunziata Marchese, his loving daughters Jacqueline Marchese of Branchburg, Nancy Cirigliano and husband Paul of Whitehouse Station, his loving son James S. Jr. and wife Lori of Washington Borough, his cherished grandchildren Mitchell and Hannah, his dear brother Salvatore Marchese and wife Angela of Andover, Mass. and several nieces and nephews.
