Jim Dunn, 80, of Branchburg, NJ passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Born in Waterford, MI Jim resided in Branchburg for the past 27 years.

Jim graduated from Oak Park High School, Class of 1960. He then went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University and pursued graduate studies at the University of Arizona.

Jim served our country through his career in the U.S. Navy as a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor before his retirement as a career Navy man.

Jim was a former member of the Free Masons in Cranford , a former Shriner, member with the Shriner's Children's Hospital, for which he helped raise money for Shriner's Hospital for Children, a former member of the Branchburg Rescue Squad and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Through the Shriners Jim enjoyed doing clowning at various nursing homes and many oncology units as well as for the Make A Wish Foundation. Jim loved oil and charcoal painting. He was an avid reader of all subjects and genres.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charlotte and Allie Rae Dunn and his brother, Richard Dunn.

Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Lenore Dunn, two sisters, Sandra Swindell of Waterford, MI; Linda Susan Dunn of Waterford MI; a brother in law, Anthony Bono of Toms River, NJ; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 2-6 at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service begin at the funeral home at 5:30pm.
