Jacqueline M. Stivale, 87, of Flemington, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Hunterdon Medical Center. Born in Montclair, NJ, Jackie resided in Glen Ridge, NJ for 43 years before moving to Flemington in 2007.

Jackie graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Class of 1953. She met the love of her life, Sylvio, shortly thereafter. The two were married in 1955. Together they had four loving children. Jackie did the bookkeeping for the family business, Bills Service Center, for more than 30 years before her retirement in 1986.

Following her retirement, Jackie became the Cheerleading Coach at Glen Ridge High School where she touched the lives of both athletes and their friends. Most recently, MeMe as she was known to her Flemington friends, was the biggest fan of her three youngest granddaughters and their teammates throughout their youth and high school cheer and lacrosse experience.

Jackie enjoyed vacationing at her summer home in Cape May and taking day trips to Wildwood, Atlantic City and, most recently, to Long Beach Island with her family. She loved watching TV game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune and the $100,000 Pyramid. She was also an avid New York Yankees fan. Most importantly, Jackie enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ann (1984) and Vito Pizzuti (1984) and her husband, Sylvio Stivale (2009).

She is survived by her four children: Gina and her life partner, Joseph Matson, of Washington, NJ; Anthony W. and his wife, Sharon Stivale, of Nutley, NJ; Michael S. and his wife, Donna Stivale, of Morris Plains, NJ; Renee and her husband, Bill Brandt, of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Robert and his wife, Eleanor Pizzuti, of Naples, FL; seven cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Anthony Jr., Melissa, Shelby, Taylor, Skylar, Kadyn and two great-grandchildren: Travis John and Mila, many loving nieces and nephews and her canine companion, Angel.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ, 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 9:15 a.m. Funeral mass will take place on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard R.C. Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
