J. Mark Jones

J. Mark Jones, 64, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Mark resided in Somerville before moving to Branchburg.

Mark attended deCret School of the Arts to further develop his artistic skills. After graduating, Mark went on to work as a drafter & designer and eventually settled with Union Local #825C as an Operation Engineer.

During his free time, Mark enjoyed hanging with the boys, camping, painting, and photography. He strongly supported the National Wildlife Federation, had a passion for NASCAR, and loved going on his annual canoe trips with his friends. Most importantly, Mark enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Freida and Walter B. Jones.

Surviving are his two dear sons, Adam and wife Gina Maria Jones of Hackettstown, NJ; Christopher Jones and Fiancé Katherine Shay of Easton, PA; three brothers, Brian and wife Donna Jones of Farmingdale, NJ; Kevin Jones of Crestview, FL; Roger Jones of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and his cherished grandchildren, Donna, Benjamin, Lily, and Connor.

A celebration of life will be held on June 15th from 12-4pm at the Whitehouse Station Fire House located at 271 Main Street, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
