Ivan L. Antal , 92, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Born in Romania, he arrived in the United States in 1951 and resided in Elmsford, NY until moving to Bridgewater in 1998. Mr. Antal worked as a Chemist and was VP of Quality Control for Purdue Frederick Research in Yonkers, NY for approximately thirty years, until his retirement in 1990. Ivan enjoyed photography, hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Irene Papp Antal; and his sister, Eva Scharfstein. Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years, Matilda Ligethy Antal; his two loving daughters, Diane Kern and her husband, Bernard of Voorheesville, NY and Judy Buffa and her husband, William of Branchburg; his cherished grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Frank, Brian, Christen, and Daniel; and his great-grandson, Frankie.
