Helen M. Buchholz, 92, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at RWJ- Somerville. Born in Carteret, NJ, Helen resided in Piscataway for 12 years before moving to Branchburg 60 years ago. She graduated from Carteret

High School, Class of 1948.

Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Bradley Gardens. She loved to travel and meet new people. Her trips took her all across the US and Europe, including Switzerland, England, and Scotland. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, and needlepoint. She loved to go to Bingo and enjoyed many trips to casinos.

Helen was a very caring and thoughtful person, always willing to help others. She loved her family dearly and will be truly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Maria and George Mazur, a brother, John Mazur, and two sisters, Anna Lovas and Mary Slotwinski.

Surviving are her loving husband of 72 years, Albert Buchholz, one dear son, Kenneth and wife Teresa Buchholz of Charlotte, NC; two loving daughters, Susan and husband Andy Hom of Phillipsburg, NJ; Carol McManus of Whitehouse Station, NJ; four grandchildren, Douglas, Matthew, Steven, and Brian, two great grandchildren, Gavin and Mikayla, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 10am-12pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will take place at 12pm at the funeral home.

Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
