Obituary

Gina Renda

North Brunswick, NJ

Gina Renda, 62, of North Brunswick, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Complete Care at Park Place. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Gina grew up in Green Brook and later resided in Bridgewater before moving to North Brunswick.

Gina graduated from Green Brook High School Class of 1979. She received her Undergraduate Degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington DC. She then went on to receive her Master's Degree in English Literature from Rutgers University in Camden.

Gina had a love for music, especially classic rock. You could always find Gina dancing and singing around the house as she cooked, baked, and did arts and crafts with her children. Every holiday, Gina would create crafts that went along with that holiday, whether it was Easter, Christmas, or Halloween. The thing Gina loved the most in life was being a mom. Her three children meant the world to her. She spent time volunteering at their schools, even teaching extracurricular drama classes throughout their elementary school years. She would host barbecues, pool parties, sleepovers, and even once a play in the backyard for her children and their friends.

Gina enjoyed going to concerts, Yankees games and taking care of her garden. Most importantly, Gina enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially her three children, Becky, Hayley, and Stuart.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Katherine and Oscar Renda, and brother Michael O Renda.

Surviving are her two loving daughters, Becky and husband Rich Paull of Clinton, MD; Hayley Orlando and fiancé Jamie Womack of Lodi, NJ; her dear son, Stuart Orlando of Orlando, FL; her partner of 12 years, Larry Markiewicz of North Brunswick, NJ; her brother, Sal Renda and wife Nancy Adams of Maplewood, NJ; two sisters, Anne and husband John Manfreda of Readington, NJ; Kathy and husband Michael Flaherty of Falmouth, MA; and her fur grandbabies, four cats, Leia, Sandy, Peanut, and Eevee, and one dog Bambi.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 3-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 9:15am. Funeral mass will take place at 10am at St. Bernard Church on Rt. 22 East in Bridgewater, NJ. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
