George L. Christensen, 85, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 2, 2026 at RWJ Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, NJ, George moved to Roselle, where he and his wife Carol raised their family together. He and Carol then built a house on Mountain Lake and lived there for many years before moving to Belvidere.

George worked as a truck driver for Eastern Oil in Jersey City for over 30 years.

During his free time, George enjoyed working with wood, fixing things, and making improvements around the house. There was no job he would not take on. George enjoyed watching the Barrett - Jackson Car Auction. He loved older model cars, going down to Ortley Beach and Seaside Heights with his family and vacationing with his wife Carol to the Bahamas. Most

importantly, George really enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and family, especially his children and grandchildren.

George is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Anne and Ben Christensen and his loving wife, Carol Christensen (2015).

Surviving are his dear son Mark and wife Christine Christensen, his loving daughter Lisa and husband John Perrotti, and six adored grandchildren, Dana, Jamie, Kevin, Stephanie and her husband Kyle Alfieri, Matthew, and Samantha.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 3pm-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 and on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 10am-12pm with a prayer service beginning at 11:30am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in George's name to one of his most loved charities, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
