Francis "Frank" James Mills, 77, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 25,2026, at his residence.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Frank was raised and lived in Bayonne for many years, until moving to Bridgewater, New Jersey, where he resided for the past 22 years.

Frank was retired from the Bayonne Board of Education as a boiler engineer.

Frank spent countless quality moments with his grandchildren, whom he adored so deeply. He enjoyed taking trips to various casinos and treasured many vacations to Aruba. Frank was known for his great sense of humor, he always knew how to tell a joke and could fill any room with laughter. He was a wonderful storyteller throughout his life, and he loved listening to music. Frank enjoyed monthly Michigan Rummy card games with his wife and their friends, and he was a proud member of the Bridgewater Senior Club. He was also an avid sports fan, cheering on the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is predeceased by his beloved mother Margaret Maitland Pax, and his siblings John Mills, Helen Bahr, and Sharon Mills.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Karen Mills, his dear daughters Jessica and husband Ralph Mariani, and Allison and husband Brenden Ruh, 5 cherished grandchildren: Matthew, Hudson, Harper, Delaney, and Callahan, and his best friend of many years Charles Sclafane.

A viewing will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 3pm-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at 6:30pm. Committal is private.
