Francesco "Frank" DiTaranto , 73, died suddenly on Friday, December 15, 2006 at the home of his brother, Dominick, in Bethlehem, Pa. Born in Pisticci, in the providence of Madera, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1953. A former resident of Bridgewater, he resided in Nazareth for the past 18 months. Frank was a mason contractor for more than fifty years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcello in 1979 and Rose Cironni DiTaranto in 2002. Surviving are his beloved children, Francesco Jr. and Mark of Hillsborough, Vernon of Bath, Pa., Justine DiBlasio and husband Albert of Bridgewater, Dena Lane and husband Bob of Bridgewater, Shanna DiTaranto of Orlando, Florida, his step-children, Eddie and Laura, fourteen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, his loving brothers, Dominick and wife Jackie of Bethlehem, Lenny and wife Debby of Nazareth, and his dear sister, Marie Sorrentino and husband Ralph of Hillsborough and many nieces and nephews. Prayer services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Highway 202 south, Branchburg, N.J. Entombment will follow in the St. Bernards Cemetery Mausoleum, Bridgewater.
