Florence Weiss Ocean, NJ Florence Weiss, 79, of Ocean, NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Florence resided in Moonachie, NJ before moving to Ocean ten years ago. Florence graduated from Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School in Brooklyn, NY. She attended Hunter College on an academic scholarship. Florence worked in the insurance field for several years before her marriage to her husband, Stanley, after which she pursued a career with the US Postal Service. As a senior citizen and retiree of the Post Office, Florence, along with her husband, was instrumental in planning trips for fellow Senior Citizen Club members of Moonachie. Besides her love of travel, Florence enjoyed attending Broadway shows, concerts and sporting events and dining out. She especially enjoyed sharing anecdotes about family members and a day didn't go by when Florence didn't inquire about one member of the family or another, most of all, the children. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anna and Ralph Caruso and her beloved husband of 40 years, Stanley Weiss. Florence is survived by her loving sister Autilia Santoro, and her devoted brothers Neil Caruso and his wife Rosemarie and Augustine Caruso and his wife Anne and her many dear nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
