Fara Maltese, 78, of Bridgewater, NJ passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in the town of Cinisi, Sicily, Italy, Fara resided in Raritan, NJ for 28 years before moving to Bridgewater 25 years ago.
Fara was a member of the St. Ann's Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, home decorating, babysitting, gardening, spending cold winters in Florida, hosting family gatherings. Above all, she loved spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Domenica and Giovanni DiSanto, a sister Maria Pizzo, and two brothers in law, Guiseppe Pizzo and Vito Montrone.
Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years Salvatore Maltese, two dear sons Philip and wife Karen Maltese of Bridgewater, NJ; John and wife Megan Maltese of Bridgewater, NJ; a loving daughter Margaret and husband Kenneth Miller of Warren, NJ; a brother Joseph and wife Angela DiSanto of Staten Island, NY; two sisters Angela and husband Salvatore Loiacono of Staten Island, NY; Josephine Montrone of Deltona, FL; many in-laws and beloved nieces and nephews, and six cherished grandchildren Christopher, Sophia, Salvatore, Ava, Joseph, and John Jr.
Due to the COVID19 the viewing will be private as well as the funeral mass and entombment.
