Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother
Eugenia "Jeanie" Ciattarelli, 92, of Raritan, NJ, died on Monday, June 24, 2024.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jeanie moved to Raritan in 1950 after marrying her beloved husband, Tony (Chet).
Jeanie was a happy and devoted wife and mother who thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family and friends. She was known for making holidays and family occasions extra special and memorable.
Jeanie was employed by Johnson & Johnson, where she was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. After 30 years of service, she retired from the company in 1994. From 1968 until 1973, she and her husband owned and successfully operated Anthony's restaurant in Raritan.
Jeanie was a member of the St. Ann's Women's Bowling League and, later in life, Somerset Medical Center's Stroke Group.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and son, Anthony III; her brothers, Michael and Louis Firneno, and sisters Anna Cardinale and Antoinette "Nettie" Muratore.
Surviving Jeanie are her daughter Rose Knox-Lange and husband Tom; two sons, Jack and Felix "Philip"; her nine loving grandchildren: Curt Lange (wife Julie), Katherine Whitey (husband William), Dr. Kourtney Jean Knox, Kyle James Knox (wife Naha), Alexa, Jake, A.J., Matthew, and Tayler Jean; her great-grandchildren Jude Whitey, Miki Ella and Max Tomo Knox; her dear sisters Barbara D'Ottavio, Carol Masiello, and Christine Gewant (husband Gary); and dozens of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great–nephews.
Jeanie was selflessly devoted to her immediate and extended family and friends. Known for her warmth and overwhelming generosity, she was genuinely loved by all who knew her.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 3-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 9:15am. A funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 10am at St. Ann's R.C. Church, 45 Anderson Street Raritan, NJ 08869.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
