Eric J. Wooster, 39, of Bridgewater, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Overlook Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Livingston, NJ, Eric spent most of his life in Rockaway Township before moving to Bridgewater.

Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University in Communications and Media Studies and later began working as an IT Sales Support and Solutions Engineer.

Eric's inherent curiosity and love for problem-solving inspired a life-long passion for computers, technology, and video games. However, his creative personality shined brightest through his deep love for music. Eric played guitar from an early age and went on to form multiple bands that played in anything from neighborhood shows in New Brunswick basements to venues up and down the East coast.

Eric attended countless live concerts with his wife and friends, collected crystals, fossils and vinyl records, and loved to fire up the grill for family gatherings every summer. He had a tremendous appreciation for nature and love of animals. He enjoyed early morning walks on the beach in search of shells and other things the tide brought in. Most of all, he loved to read stories to his daughter.

Eric was an endlessly loyal, kind, compassionate, and empathetic husband, father, son, brother, and friend - an overall wonderful and amazing soul. He shared an infectious laugh, wonderful sense of humor, and beautiful smile that brought joy to everyone he loved. He will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky to know him.

Predeceased by his beloved father Gary Wooster, Eric leaves behind his devoted and loving wife, Stefanie Wooster, his cherished daughter, Riley, his dear brother, Jason and wife Nicole Wooster, his mother Phyllis Wooster, his father-in-law, Michael Boone and many dear extended family and friends. He will always remain in our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 3-7PM at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
