Eric D. Meltzer

Eric D. Meltzer, 69, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home. Born in North Arlington, NJ, Eric spent most of his childhood in Edison before residing in Hillsborough for 12 years and settling in Branchburg 8 years ago.

Eric graduated from Edison High School Class of 1971 and studied at Urbana University. After graduating, Eric worked in the fashion industry for 25 years. Eric worked passionately as a Sales Consultant for 17 years at Bridgewater Nissan.

Eric loved to go fishing, watch the Giants and professional soccer games. He was a great cook and a phenomenal gardener. Eric enjoyed taking trips along the Jersey shore with his family. He never missed any events when it came to his children, including soccer tournaments and cheerleading competitions. Most importantly, Eric enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his three cherished grandchildren, Mia, Jackson, and Ella.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Estelle and Seymour Meltzer, and his son, Evan Scott Meltzer.

Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Maggie Meltzer, his dear son, Jeff and wife Kate Meltzer of Stockton, NJ; his loving daughter, Erin and husband Carlos Cancel of Pohatcong, NJ; three sisters, Leslie and husband Lary Schimel of Westchester, CA; Fern and husband Mark Holody of Toms River, NJ; Amy and husband Howie Shain of Oxnard, CA; three cherished grandchildren, Mia, Jackson, and Ella, many loving nieces and nephews, and his three canine companions, Chester, Brady, and Jake.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 7:30pm.
