Emil A. Szostek

Emil A. Szostek, 67, of Flemington, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 31, 2025. Born in Straszydle, Poland, Emil came to America in 1965 and resided in Union for 13 years before moving to Flemington.

He worked for Frigidaire then went to vocational school to become an electrician working for Conrail until his retirement.

Emil was always there to lend a helping hand, he could fix almost anything.

His pride and joy were his grandchildren. He attended all of their soccer games and activities. He also enjoyed vacationing in Mexico with his wife, fishing, and playing tennis. Emil enjoyed raising his children and later spending quality time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Genowefa and Walter Szostek and his wife, Elizabeth Szostek.

Surviving are his dear son, Robert and wife Erica Szostek of Saunderstown, RI; his loving daughter, Kristina and husband Steven Migliore of Flemington, NJ; two brothers, Andrew Szostek of Oakley, CA; John and wife Marissa Szostek of PA; two sisters, Stella Szostek of Oakley, CA; Grace and husband Scott Bierman of NJ; and four cherished grandchildren, Chelsea, Harrison, Melina and Alaina.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 2pm-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

Family and friends to meet at St. Casimir's R.C. Church 91 Pulaski Street, Newark, NJ 07105 for a funeral mass beginning at 11am.

Committal is private.
