Elyse R. Staropoli Hillsborough, NJ Elyse R. Staropoli, 33, of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 20, 2019. Born in Westwood, NJ, she grew up in Basking Ridge where she resided for most of her life before moving to Hillsborough with her husband five years ago. Elyse was a graduate of Ridge High School class of 2004. Following high school Elyse's love of art lead her to attend FIT, "Fashion Institute of Technology", in NYC where she graduated in 2012. Elyse worked as a Visual Manager at various Victoria Secret Stores where she displayed her talent across the country. Elyse absolutely loved her job. She was hardworking, dedicated, very rarely missed a day of work, and took great pride in her career. In her younger years she was a very talented athlete and fitness played an important role in her life. Elyse was an amazing artist and loved taking trips to the beach with her family. Her greatest joy of all was being a wife to her husband Anthony and a mother to their son Anthony Joseph. During her battle with ALS Elyse was fiercely brave and never let this fight diminish her spirit. Elyse's beautiful smile and tremendous heart will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Elyse is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother. She is survived by her beloved parents, Diane and Thomas Falato of Basking Ridge, NJ; her beloved husband of 5 years, Anthony; her cherished son, Anthony Joseph; two dear brothers, Robert Falato of Las Vegas, NV and Timothy Falato of Basking Ridge, NJ; her loving sister, Kathryn Falato of Laurel, Maryland; her paternal grandfather, Silvio Falato of Westwood, NJ; her mother and father in law, Catherine Murtha of Brick, NJ, and Fedele Staropoli of Little Medows, PA; her sister and brother in law; Stephanie Staropoli and husband Luke Hyland of Kent, Great Britain; three adored nephews, John, Markus, and Sebastian; and her adored niece, Maria. Viewing will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 10am followed by an 11am funeral liturgy at St. James R.C. Church in Basking Ridge, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in Elyse's memory to two foundations that were very supportive in her care, the Joan Dancy & PALS Foundation and Compassionate Care ALS.
