Elizabeth M. Lutz, 80, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Born in Astoria, NY, Elizabeth spent most of her life in Astoria before moving to Bridgewater.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Long Island City High School, class of 1963. She then went on to receive her Associates Degree from Hunter College. After graduating, Elizabeth began working for Equitable as a Pension Manager for 40 years before her retirement in 2005.

Elizabeth was a member of the Bridgewater Senior Citizens Center, Bridgewater Senior Club and the Somerset County Senior Citizens Center.

During her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed going for walks at Duke Island Park, gardening and cooking. She loved to sit outside and bird watch especially for Eagles.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Helen and Harry Lutz, her companion of 12 years, Jack Richards, her sister in law, Lorraine Goldburg (2006), and her brother, John W. Lutz

A viewing will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 10am-11am at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 with a prayer service beginning at 11am. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery 127-15 Kew Gardens Road, Kew Gardens NY 11415.
