Elaine Fagan, 93, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Brandywine Living at Middlebrook Crossing in Bridgewater, NJ. Born in Orange, NJ, Elaine resided in Newark, NJ for many years before moving to Woodbridge, NJ. She received terrific care and many enjoyable days at Brandywine Living. Elaine worked in many positions for the City of Newark, NJ, working in the Health and Housing Departments. She also worked as a Sales Associate at the Catherine Store in Edison, NJ. Elaine was a member of the Women's VFW and served as a Campaign Manager for councilman in the City of Newark. She enjoyed ice cream, going to Monmouth Park for horse racing. She loved dogs (Moonie and Bingo) and was a devoted bingo player. Elaine was very hardworking and loved all her jobs. Most importantly, Elaine enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alice and John F. McDermott, her brother, John F. McDermott Jr. and her loving husband Edward W. Fagan. Surviving are her loving son Edward and wife Clairesse Fagan of Branchburg, NJ; three adored grandchildren, Kelly, Charlie, and Eddie, and two cherished great grandchildren, Leland and Tate. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the funeral home at 9:15am. A funeral mass will follow at St. Bernard's R.C. Church in Bridgewater, NJ at 10am.
