Elaine Costa of Raritan, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021. Born in Paterson, New Jersey Elaine resided in Raritan and Bridgewater and spent her final years in Middletown, New Jersey. Elaine worked as a secretary for AT&T for many years before retiring in 1999. Elaine enjoyed her friends, going out to dinner, taking trips especially to Atlantic City and caring for her parents. Elaine was a volunteer at the annual Saint Ann's Festa and she was always willing to help others in need especially Unico whose motto is Service above Self. Elaine was always well-dressed and dignified. She is predeceased by her beloved parents Thelma and Armando Costa and her brother Kenneth Costa. Surviving family are her cousins, Barbara Costa Jones of Cheyenne Wyoming and Ruth Mello Tedford of Haledon, New Jersey. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 21 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Route 202 South, Branchburg, New Jersey 08876. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday. April 22, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St Ann's RC Church in Raritan, New Jersey. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis Tennessee 38105. Committal is private.
