Eileen Rose Stecher, 82, of Bedminster, NJ, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at CentraState Medical Center. Born in Irvington, NJ, Eileen resided in Hillside before moving to Bedminster.
Upon graduating High School, Eileen worked as a legal secretary, then started a family, and years later returned back to the work force as an Administrative Assistant for Cohen Friedman Dorman Leen.
During her free time, Eileen had a true passion for arts and crafts, specifically ceramics. She taught aerobics classes and eventually became a personal trainer. She loved tending to her flowers and plants, traveling, especially to Paris with her travel girls group. Big on family, Eileen made sure to have family dinners every Tuesday night. Most importantly, Eileen enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anna and John Cannon, and her sister, Mary Kopec.
Surviving are her three dear sons, Robert and wife Ada Marie Stecher of Princeton, NJ; Richard and wife Ann Marie Stecher of Berkeley Heights, NJ; Ryan Stecher of Middletown, NJ; a brother, John Cannon of Groton, CT; three sisters, Anna Carol Bogdan of FL; Barbara Ferrara of FL; Diane Halter of Cranford, NJ; and six cherished grandchildren, Emily Ann, Andrew, Joey, Matthew, Jack, and Adam.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 6pm-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
Friends and family are to gather at St. Bernard Church on Friday, February 13, 2026 for a funeral mass beginning at 10am 500 US-22 Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Committal is private.
