Eileen T. Moore

Eileen T. Moore, 101, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Sunrise of Bridgewater. Born in Paterson, NJ, Eileen resided in Clifton for 11 years and Paterson for 15 years before moving to Branchburg 33 years ago.

Eileen graduated from St. John's High School in Paterson NJ, Class of 1938. Coming from Paterson, NJ, Eileen married Edward J. Moore Sr., in Florida during the darkest period of World War II. Eileen and Edward started a family and made the best possible home that any child could imagine. As Ed served in the War, Eileen ran the household and took care of her family.

Eileen had a fine taste and excellent eye for decorating and color. She was an amazing cook and baker, and had a real talent for making a variety of homemade cooked meals and desserts including her homemade apple strudel. She also developed an appreciation for fine wines to compliment the delicious meals that she so thoughtfully prepared for her family. For every holiday, she cooked phenomenal meals and desserts. During the summer, she would have picnics for the family in the backyard around the pool or sometimes at Greenwood Lake. The one thing Eileen enjoyed the most was spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. All in all, Eileen was a loyal supporter to her family. Giving advice, to home cooked meals, and family time, Eileen's presence will always be felt.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elizabeth and John J. Cosgrove, her loving husband of 60 years, Edward J. Moore Sr. (2003), her cherished daughter, Colleen (2013) three brothers, and three sisters.

Surviving are her two dear sons, Raymond P. Moore of Branchburg, NJ; Edward J. Moore Jr. and wife Victoria of Toms River, NJ; four cherished grandchildren, Amy, Ed, Brian, and Kevin, and six adored great grandchildren, Aiden, Ava, Alice, Ann, Molly, and Liam.

A service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, NJ.
