Edward F. Smith Branchburg, NJ Edward Smith, 82, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at RWJ in Somerville. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ed spent most of his life in Brooklyn and resided in Staten Island for 11 years before moving to Branchburg 13 years ago. Ed worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Manhattan for 15 years before retiring in 2010. Eddie was a handyman, he could always be found helping his son in law. He loved cooking and baking, especially baking Christmas cookies with his wife and grandchildren. He was a hands on dad, always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. Ed loved attending parties and dancing at them. The one thing Eddie enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Christina and Edward Smith, a brother and three sisters. Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Margaret A. Spinard Smith, two dear sons, Scott and wife Geraldine Smith of Flemington, NJ; Chris and wife Lu Ann Smith of Easton, PA; one loving daughter, Angela and husband Rich Muratore of Branchburg, NJ; three sisters, Ann "Nany" and husband Bill Evans of South Carolina; Christina Hutchins of New Jersey; Patty Rios of Staten Island, NY; nine cherished grandchildren, Kristiana, Angelia, Nicolette, Hunter, Caitlyn, Ryan, Madison, Ashley, and Parker, three adored great grandchildren, Lorenzo, Amelio, and Valentina, and his dog, Mika. A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 4 to 8 at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 9:15am. Funeral mass will take place at Holy Trinity Church at 10am.
