Edward J. Martay Jr. Raritan, NJ Edward J. Matay Jr., 27, of Raritan, NJ, passed away at his home on Monday, June 11, 2018. Born in Plainfield, NJ, he resided in Piscataway for most of his life before moving to Raritan 5 years ago. Eddie was a 2009 graduate of Piscataway High School. He was an avid Yankees and Jets fan, loved going fishing as a young child with his dad, and spending quality time with his family. Eddie had a kind heart and he will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him. Eddie is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Matay Jr.; his beloved aunt Cheryl Falco; his dear cousin, Hope Mary Pleskin, and his loving maternal grandmother, Patricia A. Trapani. Surviving are his beloved parents, Theresa and Edward Matay of Raritan, NJ; his wonderful paternal grandmother, Barbara Matay of Middlesex, NJ; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Viewing will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 1-4pm and Monday, June 18, 2018 from 9:30-10:00am followed by interment at Bound Brook Cemetery in Bound Brook, NJ.
