Edward P.
Mascola
Oct 18, 1948 — Jan 4, 2026
Our beloved father, Edward—ever-present in our lives—has passed, surrounded by love. He was truly loved by all who knew him and was the very best father we could have ever asked for. A devoted and deeply loving dad, Edward cherished his daughters, Kymberly Lynn Papera (and her husband, Kevin) and Dina Marie O'Rourke (and her husband, Brian). He loved to spoil his family rotten—and he continued to do so right to the very end.
His greatest joy was found in his four grandsons—Kyle Patrick O'Rourke, Colin James O'Rourke, Connor Daniel Papera, and Christian Edward Papera. He was the most awesome, loving "P-Pop," each grandson carried a piece of his heart and brought him immeasurable pride and happiness.
Edward loved the simple things in life. He found peace and happiness on the golf course, especially golfing with his buddies. He also delighted in reading a great book, settling in to watch a favorite movie with a bowl of ice cream—moments that brought him quiet comfort and contentment.
He also deeply cherished his sweet pup, Sebastian—his loyal companion and constant comfort.
Edward was a loyal brother, uncle, and friend to many, near and far. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Marcella, whom he missed dearly, and by many beloved brothers and sisters who welcomed him ahead. He is survived by his three brothers, Mike, John and Thomas and his sister Debi whose bond has remained strong through the years.
As we walk with Edward through this sacred time, we do so with faith—trusting in God's promise: Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We find comfort knowing that Edward was wrapped in love here on earth and gently held by God for eternal rest. His love, steady presence, generosity of spirit, and quiet strength will remain with us always.
