Edward S. Kozic, 88, of Raritan, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Complete Care at Green Knoll Center. Born in New Brunswick, Edward resided in Bound Brook for 4 years before moving to Raritan 56 years ago. Edward graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1952. Edward Served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1956. Edward worked for AT&T as a Plant Instructor for 40 years before retiring in 1987. Ed was a member of the Tin Can Sailors National Association of Destroyer Veterans, Raritan Senior Citizens, and served on the Raritan Borough Planning Board. Ed enjoyed fishing. He loved going to train show meetings and watching NASCAR. He loved doing various projects around the house, visiting National Parks, especially in the Smokey Mountains. Ed enjoyed watching sports, birdwatching, and was an avid lover of nature. One thing Ed enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Florence and Edward Kozic, a brother William Kozic, and a sister Elizabeth Kozic. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Janice Zelesnick Kozic, one dear son, Ed and wife Vicky Kozic of Branchburg, NJ; three loving daughters, Carol Nittoli of Branchburg, NJ; Laura Merbedone of Bridgewater, NJ; Lynn Stiuso of Holland Township, NJ; one brother, John and wife Vicky Kozic of Warren Center, PA; one sister, Barbara Staff of Branchburg, NJ; eleven adored grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, Christopher, Jennifer, Edward, Kelsey, Kevin, George, Jenna, Michael, and Leanne and four cherished great grandchildren, Brandon, Anthony, Eddie, and Emilia. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 9:15am. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10am at St. Bernard R.C. Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Edward's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl Memphis, TN 38105.
