Edgar "Ned" Lombardy

Edgar "Ned" Lombardy, 82, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at his home. Born in Montpelier, Vermont, Ned resided in Somerville for 20 years and Raritan Borough for 52 years before moving to Branchburg 5 years ago.
Ned graduated from Somerville High School, Class of 1958. He then went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in History from Middlebury College in Vermont.
Ned served our country in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965 active duty.
Ned started his career at American Standard and was a plumbing supply inside salesman at various companies for 40+ years until his retirement in 2001.
Ned met his wife, Rose Marie Danley, at the Somerville Circle Bowlerama. They were married in 1965 and settled in Raritan Borough where they raised a loving family.
Ned loved watching movies, listening to all types of music especially 50's and 60's country and rock-n-roll, and crafting corny jokes to entertain his friends and family. Ned was long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Raritan Borough. He also had a great love for his cats, Boots, Tiger, Pancho, and Gabby. The one thing Ned enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ruth and Frank Lombardy.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Rose Marie Danley Lombardy; three loving daughters, Dawn and husband Ron Stoecker of Trevose, PA; Karen and husband Jack Amundsen of Branchburg, NJ; Cindy and husband Anthony Katsempris of Whitehouse Station, NJ; one dear brother, Steven Lombardy of Bridgewater, NJ; three cherished grandchildren, JD, Amelia, and Alex; and his feline companion, Gabby.
Friends and family are welcomed to join us at the cemetery for an interment on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11am at New Cemetery in Somerville, NJ.
