Earl David Hergert Jr. Branchburg, NJ Earl D. Hergert Jr., 87, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Earl resided in Branchburg since 1963. Earl graduated from Coughlin High School, Class of 1953. He then went on to serve our country in the USMC from 1956-1962. Mr. Hergert worked for Lockheed Electronics as a Test Engineer Manager for 30 years and as a Quality Manager for Henderson Industries before his retirement in 1999. Earl enjoyed watching football and taking his wife to craft fairs. The one thing he enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emily Jennings Hergert (2016) and his parents, Stella and Earl David Hergert Sr. Surviving are his two dear sons, Earl and wife Jennifer Hergert of Branchburg, NJ; Eirik and wife Heidi Hergert of Flemington, NJ; one brother, Daniel and wife Joyce Hergert of Freeland, PA; and seven cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Eirik, Tabitha, Benito, Griffin, Tatiana, and Ella. Interment will take place on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 1pm at William C. Doyle Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Earl's memory to St. Hubert's Animal Shelter.
