Douglas A. Fausak, Jr. , 47, died Tuesday, July 07, 2009 at Heritage Nursing Center in Somerset, N.J. Born in Englewood, he resided most of his life in North Bergen, moving to Florida fourteen years ago. Mr. Fausak worked for thirteen years as an Elevator Mechanic, first for American Elevator in Long Island City, and then for Mowry Elevator Company in Florida. Douglas enjoyed the beach, cooking, gardening and roller blading. He was an avid train enthusiast and collected trains. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Douglas, Sr. in 1988. Surviving are his loving mother, Norma Barker Fausak of Branchburg; his cherished sister, Susan Gesualdo and husband, Phil of Branchburg, his dearest nephew and niece, Christopher and Alexandra and his cocker spaniel, Samantha. Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the North Branch Reformed Church, 203 Route 28, Bridgewater.
