Dorothy May Saharko, 89, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at her residence. Born in Somerville, NJ, she moved to Branchburg 63 years ago. She enjoyed her life by raising her children and grandchildren (known to them affectionately as Kitty Gram). She loved watching movies and had a passion for nature, wildlife, gardening, and flea markets. She also enjoyed restoring furniture, and taking care of her animals, but most importantly she loved spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Thomas Barnes, her beloved husband Stephen W. Saharko, her dear son Bruce Saharko, and a cherished sister, Elizabeth Snyder. Surviving are her two loving daughters, Susan Hartman and husband Richard Erd of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and Anne Marie VanDerveer of Whitehouse Station, NJ; two dear sons, Stephen Saharko Jr., of Branchburg, NJ; and Michael and wife Paula Saharko of Three Bridges, NJ; a brother Thomas and wife Mary Barnes of AZ; eight adored grandchildren, Ashley VanDerveer-Ramos and husband Mauricio, Mark Hartman, Kyle Hartman and fiancé Stephanie Lombardi, Jonathan and wife Lynda Erd, Shawn and wife Julie Saharko, Matthew Saharko, Tara Saharko and fiancé John Doren, Vanessa Demko-Saharko and fiancé Robert Herbert, many loving nieces and nephews, and her feline companion Dakota. Her earthly presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be with those who loved her.
