Donald Tardiff, 69, of Kingwood, NJ passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Hunterdon Medical Center. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Donald resided in Carteret for the early part of his life, then Laurence Harbor for 10 years and finally moving to Kingwood, NJ 33 years ago.
Donald was a proud graduate of Carteret High school, Class of 1969.
Donald worked as an Irrigation Technician Specialist for 20 years for Storr Tractor before his retirement in 2018.
Donald was a part of the Old Bridge Jaycees and also the Freehold Area Running Club. He was also a member of the United Steel Worker Union and the Cherryville Repeaters Association.
Donald was an avid Seahawks and Yankees Fan. HIs absolute favorite pastime was amateur radio. Donald was happiest when he was in his radio room and using his call sign "KB2EBL" He would scuba dive in the Delaware River, loved old airplanes and taking flights in them, taking several cruise trips with Mary and riding his motorcycle. He loved his neighbors and took pride in his immaculate lawn care. Most importantly, Donald enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Those that knew and loved him will miss his fun loving personality and ability to make anyone laugh.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Dorothy and George E. Tardiff, a brother George J. Tardiff, and a sister, Linda Tardiff.
Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Milak Tardiff, two dear sons, Ryan Tardiff of Phillipsburg, NJ; Robbie Milak of Carteret, NJ; a loving daughter, Alyssa and husband Jacob Winsor of Upper Black Eddy, PA; two brothers, Peter Tardiff of Manchester, NJ; Stephen and wife Anna Tardiff of Whitehouse Station, NJ; one sister, Lori and husband Bryan Wengryn of Flemington, NJ; three cherished grandchildren, Averie, Chase, and Grayson, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 1-5pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 9:15 am. A funeral mass will follow on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 10am at St. Ann's R.C. Church in Raritan, NJ. Committal is private.
