Dolores H. Ferguson Flemington, NJ Dolores Ferguson, 97, of Flemington, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at County Arch Care Center. Born in Jersey City, Dolores spent most of her life there before residing in Flemington for 20 years and moving to Pittstown three years ago. Dolores graduated from St. Aloysius High School in Jersey City, Class of 1942. Dolores was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and Sacred Heart Society at St. Joseph's Church in Union City. She was an avid reader and loved to knit, especially needlepoint, and enjoyed summers at the bungalow in Ideal Beach. The one thing Dolores enjoyed the most was spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Cecelia and Robert Chambers, her loving husband of 32 years, James E. Ferguson (1977), her daughter Elaine Rippa, a brother, Robert Chambers, and two sisters, Cecelia Brannigan and Eleanor Mannella. Surviving are her two dear sons, James and wife Jeannie Ferguson of Milltown, NJ; Richard and wife Linda Ferguson of Flemington, NJ; three loving daughters, Lorie Aversa of Monroe, NJ; Robyn and husband Eloy Sedillos of McLeansville, North Carolina; Dawn and husband Patrick Varano of McLeansville, NC; a son in law, Rich Rippa of Cleveland, TN; sixteen grandchildren Paul, Anthony, Tim, Lorianne, Jaime, Jessica, James, Julie, James, Richard, Kaitlyn, Jillian, Kristina, Zachary, Kyle and Danny, and 17 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 9:15am. Funeral mass will take place at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ.
