Diane J. Wilton, 79, of Forked River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Bridgeway Care Center. Born in Jersey City, Diane grew up and resided in Whitehouse Station for 37 years where she enjoyed the company of neighbors and friends. She particularly enjoyed sharing the property with her mother, Elsie, who she cared for and spent a lot of time with, making priceless memories over the years. Eventually, Diane moved to Forked River, NJ to a close-knit community where she resided amongst her brother, Richie and new friends.

Diane graduated from Hunterdon Central High School as a member of the Class of 1963. Following her graduation, Diane worked as a Tax Collector for Readington Township. Highly respected and loved by her colleagues, Diane worked for the township for 26 years before her retirement in 2006.

Diane was notoriously known for her bright smile and huge heart. She was selfless, and positively impacted the lives of all of those who met her. Her sense of humor and the joy she spread, caught the attention of everyone in the room. Diane frequently enjoyed traveling with her girlfriends whether it was on cruises to beautiful destinations, or locally down to the casinos in Atlantic City, NJ. She also was an avid shopper frequenting her local malls and shops.

Diane loved being a part of her community in Ocean County, NJ. She could often be found helping out with auctions at the clubhouse in her neighborhood. She loved playing cards weekly with her friends in her community. She especially enjoyed the card game "May I". Diane loved being in the company of her friends and enjoyed going out to lunch with them.

Most importantly of all, Diane loved spending time with her family. Every year she looked forward to making memories on her family vacation to Point Pleasant, NJ. She enjoyed hosting holidays like Thanksgiving and Easter in her home where she would spend hours cooking for everyone. Diane's grandchildren were the "apple of her eye". She frequently made trips up North, never missing any of their activities or sporting events. Family was everything to Diane, and she loved every minute of spending quality time with them.

Diane is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elsie and Oscar Arduini, her brother, Richard Arduini and her sister in law, Carol Arduini.

Surviving are her dear son, Darren and his wife Lauren Wilton of Lebanon, NJ; her loving daughter, Wendy Wilton of Branchburg, NJ; and five cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Shawn, Serena, Samantha, and Nicholas, as well as her two granddogs Finn and Willie.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 1-5 pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 3:30pm.
