Diane Jane Seaver Gearey Flemington NJ Diane J Gearey passed away at Hunterdon Healthcare Center in Flemington NJ, where she was loved and cared for after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born and raised in Caldwell and Montclair NJ, Diane and her husband Vince lived in Pittsburg PA for a short time before settling in Bridgewater NJ to raise their family. Mrs. Gearey was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School and Upsala State Teacher College where she received her degree in teaching. Early in her career she worked in Pittsburgh PA as elementary school teacher before settling in NJ. Once in NJ Diane taught at St. Ann's School in Raritan NJ, and assisted in development of a kindergarten program at the Children's Corner in Bridgewater where she worked for 20 years until her retirement in 2001. Diane loved cooking and baking, teaching, especially with her kindergarten classes, reading books to her grandchildren, long walks on the beach collecting shells, and having lunches with her close friends. She had a love for all animals, she especially enjoyed taking long walks with her dog Angel. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents Raymond P. Seaver and Frances Seaver, and her husband Vincent Gearey (2001). Diane will be missed by her 2 daughters, Debra and husband Joe Natale of Bridgewater NJ and Carolyn and husband Mark of Lebanon NJ; 1 son, Stephen and his wife Susan Gearey of Gladstone NJ, and her loving grandchildren, Brett, Ryan, Alyssa, Ashley, Collin, and Cole.
