Diane H. Brickley

Diane Brickley, 79, of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at her home. Diane was born in Somerville and grew up in Bound Brook. She graduated from Bound Brook High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from Trenton State College. She taught second grade at Vanderveer Elementary School in Somerville.
Diane taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir at the Hillsborough Presbyterian Church. She was also an active member of the Hillsborough Senior Citizens, Circle of Friends. Diane was an avid gardener and tennis player. Among her hobbies were bowling, cooking and doing puzzles.
Diane spent many years enjoying her beach house in Ortley Beach. She often entertained members of the Rotary Club to which her late husband, Ted, was a District Governor. During this time, they traveled to wonderful destinations. Watching her grandsons participate in sports, particularly basketball, was her passion. She was an avid spectator of many sports, especially tennis. Her favorite times were those spent with her family.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles and Helen Huff and her devoted husband, Theodore M. Brickley.
Surviving are her three dear sons Jeffrey Brickley of Stratton, ME; Scott and wife Stephanie Brickley of Stratton, ME; Bryan and wife Kimberley Brickley of Neshanic Station, NJ; one sister, Elaine Andreach, of Somerset, NJ; six grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Colton, Brian, Jamie and Dylan, as well as, many loving nieces, nephews and close friends.

Committal is private. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
