Diane V. Bodnar

Diane Bodnar, 77, of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 lovingly surrounded by her husband and children at RWJ New Brunswick, NJ. Diane was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ, where she was baptized, confirmed, and later married at Saint Henry's Roman Catholic Church. Upon marriage Diane resided in Jersey City, NJ and Warwick, RI before moving to Hillsborough, NJ 46 years ago where she raised her family.

Diane graduated from Bayonne High School, Class of 1963. She then went on to receive her Associates Degree from Berkeley Secretarial School in New York City. Diane worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant at various employers before being employed with Johnson & Johnson for over 25 years prior to her retirement in 2014.

Diane loved to bake during the holidays, and was an avid shopper, gardener and enjoyed taking care of her yard. She loved attending numerous Broadway plays with her husband and family throughout the years. She enjoyed visiting and attending classes at Longwood Gardens annually with her daughter. Most importantly, Diane enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her two granddaughters. She also took pleasure in spending time with her two grand dogs, Bailey and Myka.

Diane is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jeanette and Michael Votyko.

Surviving are her loving husband of 54 years, Roger P. Bodnar Sr., one dear son, Roger P. Bodnar Jr., and wife Carolyn of Hillsboro, VA; one loving daughter, Cynthia L. Bodnar of Stafford, VA; two cherished grandchildren, Annalies and Dakota of Hillsboro, VA; one sister, Doris and husband George Karlis of Somerset, NJ; as well as three nephews and a niece.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 9:30am. Funeral mass will take place at St. Ann's Church in Raritan, NJ at 10:15am. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
