Obituary

David Allen Keister Bridgewater, NJ David Keister, 65, passed into Eternal Life on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Born in Winchester, VA to Maynard & Gyneth Keister; Lived in Romney, WV where he graduated from Hampshire High School Class of 1974; Attended Eastern Christian College in Bel Air, MD, where he met his beloved wife Faith. David lived in Bridgewater, NJ for 44 years. He started working for American Hoechst in 1976 and stayed through several changes for twenty-seven plus years. David loved spending time with family and friends at his Morgantown, WV home, where he hoped to retire. David was a "Simple Man" with a huge heart, compassionate, humble, and a proud American. Most amazing was his love for God and his family, which drove many of his philanthropic efforts he supported, especially his membership to the 5 gallon club with the New York Blood Center. He enjoyed watching football, basketball, and baseball, especially his favorite team WVU Mountaineers: and let us not forget the NY Mets. Aside from WVU sports memorabilia David had an extensive Jack Daniels and vinyl record collection, passions he shared with his children. He is predeceased by his little sister Nellie Rose, father Maynard Seymore Keister, nephew Mickey Crabtree, Aunt Georgia "Jo" and Uncle Ivan "Duffy" Orndoff, father-in-law Frederick Voll and beloved mother Gyneth "Tonnie" Keister. Surviving is his loving wife of 43 years Faith Keister, his two sons, Philip Allen and wife Amanda, Joshua James and wife Jenn, and his daughter Rebekah Lee DeCola and her husband Adam. His surviving siblings brother William (Butch) Keister and wife Margie, his sisters – Nancy Wagner, Patricia Joya, and Cindy Crabtree, his mother-in-law Lorraine Voll, his brother-in-law Dave Voll and wife Eileen. Granddaddy cherished his four grandchildren Ava Rose, Cody James, Lukas Christopher, and Camrynn Rose (Rosie) Keister, and David's many nieces and nephews, and his dog Daisy.
