David Franklin Bridgewater, NJ David Franklin, 47, of Bridgewater NJ, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Born in Plainfield NJ, he grew up in Bridgewater where he spent most of his life. David took great pride in his work. He was a self-employed carpenter and an acclaimed musician. He was the co-founder and the lead vocalist for the New Jersey based hard core band Vision. The band members, both past and present were pioneers and mainstays in the New Jersey Hard Core music scene for over 30 years. David and the band Vision will always be highly respected by their peers and fans at home in New Jersey and worldwide for their music, dedication and generosity to the New Jersey Hard Core Music scene and community. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Surviving are his beloved parents Judith Messersmith of New Jersey and Gerard Franklin of North Carolina, 2 loving brothers, Patrick Franklin of Palm Beach Gardens and Brian Franklin of Raritan NJ, and a loving niece, Riley Franklin. Viewing will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11am at the Funeral Home followed by internment at St.Benards Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
