David Michael Case, 78

Branchburg, New Jersey - David Michael "Mike" Case, 78, passed away surrounded by family on September 2nd. Mike was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to the late Augustus Bailey and Mary Elizabeth Case (née Klump) on January 5, 1946.

After attending Indiana University, Mike began a career in advertising and sales. He worked for several organizations, including The Newark Star-Ledger, Elizabeth Daily Journal, Forbes, New Jersey Lawyer, The Knot, and most recently, Guaranteed Subpoena Service, Inc., as VP of Product Development.

Despite his unwavering dedication to his family and career, Mike made it a priority to volunteer, devoting numerous seasons to coaching his sons' youth baseball teams. He was appointed commissioner of the Branchburg Baseball Club (BBC) throughout much of the 1990s, overseeing the club's transition from manual pen-and-paper tracking to a PC-based database system. Mike continued his volunteer efforts through the late 1990s and early 2000s as a proud Marching Band Parent. He could often be found loading, unloading, and driving the marching band equipment bus to various shows throughout the state.

In his personal time, Mike found great fulfillment working on DIY projects around the house. It was a common sight to see him either building or maintaining all aspects of his home. He enjoyed the simple things in life, such as working in his yard and cultivating his flower beds and vegetation. For Mike, home truly was where his heart was.

Mike is survived by his wife, Bernice, of 52 years, and his two sons, Jonathan (Shelley) of Stockton, New Jersey, and Christopher (Jamie) of Piscataway, New Jersey. He is also survived by his three siblings: George, Carolyn Haley, and Martha Moore, as well as his nieces and nephew.
