Christopher Dyer, 27, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021, while hiking with his beloved longtime girlfriend, Zoey Russomano. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Chris resided in Branchburg all his life. Chris graduated from Somerville High School, Class of 2012. He received his Associates Degree in Arts from Thomas Edison State University. Chris worked for Action Title Research for four years as a title searcher.
Chris loved everyone he met. His infectious smile and bear hugs were what made everyone feel like the most special person in the world. Chris loved his family more than anything and also hockey. A lifelong athlete, Chris spent countless hours at the hockey rink most recently playing for the New Jersey Rockets Travel Hockey Team. His sense of humor, casual manner and kind heart were felt by all who encountered him. Family meant the world to Chris, he most enjoyed vacationing in North Carolina each summer where laughter and pranks ensued. His nieces and nephew cherished their time with Uncle Chris. He was an animal lover, especially of dogs with whom he had a kindred connection.
Survived by his devoted and loving parents, Laura and James Dyer, his two sisters, Nicole and husband Jim Buley; Erin and husband Ryan Zamorsky; a cherished nephew, Jake, four adored nieces, Abby, Brooke, Hailey, Hannah, several aunts, uncles, and cousins and his beloved dog CiCi who will all love him forever. He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-9pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A prayer service will begin on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 9:15am at the Branchburg Funeral Home. Mass will take place at
St. Bernard Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
