Obituary

Cecilia C. Scileppi Neshanic Station, NJ Cecilia C. Scileppi, 90, of Neshanic Station, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018 at her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Rye, NY, before moving to Neshanic Station 14 years ago. Mrs. Scileppi worked as a Special Education Teacher with the NYC School System for 30 years before her retirement in 2000. Cecilia was a member of the UFT (United Federation of Teachers), an active member of the Branchburg Senior Citizens Club where she served as Vice President and Treasurer, a volunteer at the Branchburg Library, and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and taught CCD. Cecilia was an avid reader, loved playing cards, visiting the shore and Rye Beach, and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her beautiful smile and loving heart will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lillian Bampton and Joseph Dotto; her loving husband Francis; her loving son, Stephen; and her sister, Mary Apollon. Surviving are her 3 dear sons, Joseph of Jefferson Valley, NY, John and his wife Kim of Eagle Point, Oregon, and Paul of Manchester, CT; four loving daughters, Mary Lee of Stony Brook, NY, Catherine and husband Ronald Testa of Port St. Lucy, FL, Theresa and husband William Tobin of Chelmsford, MA, and Ann and husband Eric Rolon of Neshanic Station, NJ; her wonderful sister, Isabelle Bampton of Midlothian, VA; fourteen cherished grandchildren, Richard, Stephanie, Taylor, Edward, Curran, Sarah, Benjamin, Bryn, Kyle, Dylan, Hailey, Brendan, Christina, and Eric Jr.; her adored great-grand daughter, Lydia; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private under the direction of the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ, 08876. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Church of the Resurrection R.C. Church in Rye, NY. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in St. John's Cemetery in Queens, NY.
