Cecele "Del" Alexa, 98, of Somerset, NJ, passed away on March 23, 2026, at Parker at Somerset. Born in Avoca, PA, Cecele resided in Whitehouse Station and Belvidere before moving to Somerset.

Del graduated from Avoca High School and Scranton-Lackawanna College. Del moved to Brooklyn, NY, with her husband Ted, then to Hillside, NJ, before raising their family in Clark, NJ.

Del was employed as an Executive Assistant for The Connell Company and for Thomas Associates in Westfield, NJ, before retirement.

During her free time, Del loved baking, gardening, playing the piano, listening to music, and playing mahjong. Del loved traveling to the casinos and playing the slot machines. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anna and Nicholas Kolodey, her first husband, Theodore Krupnik, her second husband, Daniel Alexa, her son, James Krupnik, her sisters, Helene, Marie, Loretta, and Alyce, and her stepdaughter, Judith.

Surviving are her two dear sons, Robert Krupnik and partner Carmel Ossorio of Whitehouse Station, NJ; Ted Krupnik and wife Stephany of Bloomsbury, NJ; her stepdaughter, Annette Thompson and husband Dan of Stewartsville, NJ; her stepson, Don Alexa and wife Terry of South Plainfield, NJ; six cherished grandchildren: Bob, Gina, Dana, Rachel, Danny, Lexi; five great- grandchildren: Brielle, Aubrey, Owen, Cecelia, Olivia.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 390 County Road #523, Whitehouse Station, NJ, 08889.
