Catherine Gerard, 95, of Neshanic Station, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at NJ Eastern Star Nursing Home. Born in Newark, NJ on March 24, 1926, she resided in Lyndhurst for 60 years before moving to Neshanic Station 12 years ago. Catherine was a member of the Branchburg Senior Citizens and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Altar/Rosary Society. Catherine was an avid Giants fan. She loved to cook, take trips to Atlantic City, ballroom dancing, and enjoyed traveling with her late husband William. She also enjoyed going to Point Pleasant and Long Branch every summer. The one thing she cherished most was spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a strong and loving person and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her considered her a blessing in their life. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William C. Gerard of 67 years; her parents, Catherine and Frank Dellosso; a son, Frank Cirminiello; brother, Frank Dellosso and his wife, Sheila; and brother Gennaro Dellosso. Surviving are her loving daughter, Deborah Gerard of Branchburg, NJ; grandson, John Costa and his wife, Karen of Hillsborough; granddaughter, Jaclyn Allen and her husband, Craig of Branchburg; five great grandchildren, Joshua, Emily, Samantha, Ava and Brynn; sister-in-law, Connie; and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing will be held on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 11am-1pm with a prayer service at 12:30pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made in Catherine's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
