Carmine Truppi

Branchburg, NJ

Carmine Truppi, 96, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Airola, Italy, emigrated to the United States in 1968 and moved to Bridgewater, NJ in 1973, where he and his wife raised three children. In 2016 he moved to Branchburg, NJ.

Carmine worked for American Cyanamid for 15 years, and later for Reheis Corporation as a Chief Chemical Operator until his retirement in 1993.

A parishioner of St Ann's Catholic Church for over 50 years, he was a devout Catholic with a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. He was a life-long supporter of the Orfanatrofio Antoniano Maschile (Boys' Orphanage) and Saint Padre Pio, as well as other causes close to his heart.

Like many of his generation, he loved planting his vegetable garden and enjoying his bountiful harvest throughout the year, and loved tending to his roses. He liked making wine and growing and picking strawberries with his grandson.

Most of all he was a wonderful and adoring husband, a loving and devoted father, and a caring and giving friend.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Teresa and Carlo Truppi, his two sisters, Antoinetta and Isabella, his brother Giovanni, and his son-in-law Louis.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Felicetta; a loving daughter Teresa; two dear sons, Carlo and wife Dawn, Gabriele and wife Joanne; two cherished grandchildren Jaime and Nicholas and wife Sarah; his great-granddaughter Sabine; his dear brother Pasquale and wife Adriana; his wonderful caregiver Tina; two grandchildren through marriage Matthew and Melissa and husband Michael; in-laws and many nieces and nephews both in the United States and Italy.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday May 29, 2024, from 3pm to 7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

A prayer service will begin at the funeral home on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 9:15am. Funeral mass will take place at 10am at St. Ann's Church in Raritan, NJ. Burial to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
