Brenda Ann Sanders Koziatek, 49, of Wylie, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Somerville, NJ on February 12, 1975, and spent most of her life in New Jersey before relocating to Texas 10 years ago.
Brenda was a dedicated and accomplished professional, earning her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and her Master's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She went on to serve as Vice President of AT&T's call center management group, where she made a lasting impact with her leadership and work ethic.
Outside of her career, Brenda was a passionate horseback rider. She had ridden since childhood and competed in various events, including cutting cattle competitions. Her love for ranching grew, as she became a proud ranch owner in Texas, where she found joy and fulfillment in caring for the land, cattle, her horses and Delores her favorite Donkey.
Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved mother-in-law Judy Koziatek and her grandparents, Stephen J. Maikisch Sr., Anna Mae Maikisch, Curtis F. Sanders, and Eliedia Sanders.
She is survived by her loving husband of Edward Koziatek of 13 years of marriage her devoted parents, Anna and George Sanders of Readington NJ; her dear sister, Rachel Ann Sanders of Flemington, NJ; her nephew Xavier Smith; her brother Curtis G. Sanders Jr. of Forks twp. Pennsylvania and Craig Stevens, her niece Madison Owens of Summit NJ and her beloved dogs, Roxy and Coco.
Brenda's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her compassion, strength, and love for life will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday February 3, 2025 from 3-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday February 4, 2025 at 11am at the Holy Trinity Church, 60 Maple Street, Bradley Gardens, NJ 08807.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
