Brenda Harrison-Mulvey, 84, of Branchburg, NJ passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024, surrounded by family.
Brenda was born on July 2, 1939, and grew up in North Bergan, NJ with her deceased brother John and deceased Parents Anne and John Rapp. It was at this time that she was a cheerleader captain and majorette at Weehawken HS and then went on to graduate Christ Hospital Nursing School with her RN. She spent most of her career at Chilton Memorial Hospital where she was an ICU/CCU nurse before becoming part of the startup team that created the Endoscopy department.
Throughout this time, she was mom to Laurey whom she supported throughout Girl Scouts and was always one of the classroom moms throughout school. Once retired she and her husband Peter Mulvey moved to Manchester, NJ where they spent 20+ years enjoying the sun, golf and traveling. They saw Ireland, Mount Rushmore, and Egypt just to name a few. It was also at this time that she was Granny to her two grandchildren Kyle and Tyler Leivonen whom she loved and doted over.
She is survived by her husband Peter, daughter Laurey, Laurey's husband Rob, grandchildren Kyle (Kyle's wife Veronica) and Tyler. She also became a first time Great Grandma to Nora Rose on January 2, 2024. Brenda was a stepmom to Peter Mulvey (wife Christine) and Jim Mulvey (wife Deborah).
A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 12pm-4pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 Rt. 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church at 60 Maple St., Bridgewater, NJ at 10:00 am on Monday March 11, 2024.
Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
