Betty A. Simon Branchburg, NJ Betty A. Simon, 65, of Branchburg NJ, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Born in Brooklyn NY on September 01, 1950, she resided in Manhattan for 25 years before moving to Branchburg 39 years ago. Betty modeled with the Ford Modeling Agency in NYC for several years before she moved to NJ. Her most recent employment for the last 21 years was with Verizon Wireless where she impacted many lives. Mrs. Simon was a communicant with St. Ann R.C. Church where she taught CCD for over 20 years. Betty had a smile that would light up a room she walked into. She was the center of her large extended family, planning gatherings, cooking, and spending quality time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren who were the loves of her life. She served as a care taker to many and gave herself to family, friends, neighbors, and even the less fortunate. She spent countless hours with her loving husband Louis going on cruises, casino trips, and dinners. Those who knew her will miss her compassion and empathy for everyone around her. She is preceded in death by her father Francis Mulqueen (1980), her brother John Mulqueen (1997), and her beloved husband of 45 years, Louis Simon (2016). Surviving are her 2 dear sons; Louis and his wife Suzan Simon of Oceanside CA, and Paul and his wife Kathryn Simon of Flemington NJ; 2 loving daughters, Erica and her husband Jason Vavrence of Lambertville NJ, and Eva Simon of Flemington NJ; her adored mother and step-father, Helen and James Holmes; 11 cherished grandchildren, Ezra, Sydney, Louis III, Isabelle, Gabriel, Jason, Olivia, Abigail, Scarlett, Sophia, and Rosalie, 2 wonderful brothers, Arthur and his wife MaryAnn Mulqueen of Franklin Sq L.I. N Y, and Paul Mulqueen and his wife Marie Cronin of NY; her loving Aunt Annie Ginty of Branchburg NJ; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Viewing will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM and Friday February 19, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM, at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at 9:30 AM at the funeral home on Saturday, February 20, 2016 followed by a 10:30 AM funeral liturgy at St. Ann R.C. Church in Raritan NJ.
