Barbara J. Labno, 88, of Bristol, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Legacy Gardens in Pennsylvania. Born in Plainfield, NJ, Barbara grew up and resided in North and South Plainfield before moving to Bristol, PA.
After graduating High School, Barbara started her career in retail working at Bamberger's in Plainfield and later on worked for Macy's in Bridgewater as a Sales Associate altogether for a combined 50 years. She actually was a switchboard operator on the phones at Bamberger's well before automated messaging.
During her free time, Barbara enjoyed knitting &needlepoint, cooking & baking, taking pictures and watching sports, including rooting for the Yankees and cheering on her favorite golfer Tiger Woods. She loved fishing with her late husband and sister & brother-in-law. The fishing sisters were a big hit. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frances Pendolino and Victor Winiski, her husband, John Labno (2012), her sister, Dorothy Marko and her brother in law, Bob Marko.
Surviving are her loving daughter, Catherine and husband Jeff Kilroy of Westampton, NJ; her sister, Marie and husband Roger Bruestle of Belle Mead, NJ; four adored grandchildren, Nicholas and wife Delmy Kilroy, Brian and wife Kathy Kilroy, Ashley Kilroy, and Casey Kilroy, and five cherished great grandchildren, Mario, Vincent, Katie, Justin, and Zoey.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 3-7pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 6:30pm.
Committal is private.
In lieu of flowers please consider making donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Babara's daughter Catherine leads a team for Walk MS in Hamilton NJ on April 13th.
